Vision: This is an amazing piece of art. The art itself drew me in immediately and I wanted to see more of it. The expression of the art is astoundingly real.
Originality: I love that this is different from the others that I have seen. Most of the time it is kitten or puppies that are being portrayed in this fashion, but the rabbit is a new one.
Technique: When I first saw the art, I believed it to be a photograph, the detail was extremely amazing. I came to realize that it was done by pencils when I read the descriptions. It amazes me that the level of detail and work put into the art. The strokes are extremely well done and the hair of the rabbit and the female is exquisite. The shadows and the highlights of the art is done extremely well.
Impact: As I has said with the technique, the impact is amazing and astounding to find that this is done with pencils. The art catches the eye very well and the expressions of the rabbit and the person are complementary to each other.
Are you allowed to ask for a critique when you feature a cute cuddly bunny? That's kinda weighting the dice a bit so to speak
Seriously though, this a great character portrait, and you've captured the hair on the hare beautifully, particularly the way it spills onto her hands. Good warm expression in the woman's face.
When you see drawings this good, it's always interesting to know how the source photo looked in order to do a 'spot the difference', but the fact that I'm saying that is a reflection of a job really well done!
